Reunification Cup - 6th Hong Kong Dragon Boat Short Course Races

When the Stanley Dragon Boat Championships is celebrating its 40th Annerversay and seeing 208 teams for the one-day Tuen Ng Festival regatta, our Short Course Races are forging for the 6th year and is growing in popularity in Hong Kong. This year the Short Course tournament meets the 10th Anniversay of Hong Kong's re-unification with the Motherland and the government invites it to be renamed to highlight the historic moment. As such is becomes more meaningful and historic.

It will be staged right on 1 July, 2007 (Sunday), at Stanley Main Beach, with only three categories (Men's, Ladies' and mixed events) without further classification and grading and a shorter 200- meter course, etc. A team from Guangdong Province, China has agreed to join and compete with local expat and Chinese fishermen and corporate teams. Teams from Macau are pending.

We hereby makes final appeal for all foreign teams to come to HK to join the historic event. There is no entry fee for foreign teams. Deadline is 22 June 2007. Please download your entry form from our website (www.dragonboat.org.hk). Note, all paddles provided by the organiser, 18 paddlers with IDBF rules.
