From our friends in Germany we received the announcement of a new shirt hitting the market. Especially designed for dragon boat paddlers, where most of us favor either paddling only on the right or only on the left boat side.
The news is coming from the Team Captain Frank Plewka of the Dragoners, a Police Team from the city of Bochum and reads as follows:
Dragonboating has left behind the reputation of being a Fashionsport. But nevertheless it can be a trendsetting Sport in Paddlefashion. What kind of Shirt does a Dragonboater need. He needs a breathing Material like Coolmax. The waterside Sleeve must be as short as possible until sleeveless. You have to put the paddle under the Arm of the Paddler in front of you an a longer Sleeve may cause a catch with the Paddle. Or water will make the Sleeve heavy. Well, the inner sleeve can be a short one an may be in an other Color for a better sight to see the Arms up. The Arm needs space in the sleeve and can't be to closely.
A Advertisement-Designer from Bochum / Germany who does Fan-Shirts for Dragonboat-Events since a lot of years developed together with a small Shirtfactory a special new shirt for Dragonboaters. See the picture. You can get it in all Ground-Colors (3 Blues, grey, white, red, green, yellow and black) and you can mix them. May be the Shirt in black, the Sleeve in red and the sleeveless Edge in yellow like the colors of Germany.
The price is ok with about 50 $ inclusive the Teamprints on the Shirt but without shipping.
Our first row tested it while training on the water and they thought it is good.
